Check your home security lighting.
Neighbourhood Watch Tasmania has urged people to check their home security lights, and install them if they don't already have them.
Neighbourhood Watch Tasmania State President, Jan Dunsby, says that now that the winter evenings are becoming darker properly working outside security lights are important. “ External security lights deter would be thieves from entering your property. They will look for homes without lighting instead. Outside lighting also improves safety for visitors, as it will help light the way to the front door .”
