Going away for Easter?
Then lock up your property!

Neighbourhood Watch Tasmania has urged people going away for the Easter break to make sure their homes are locked up and protected from intruders.

Neighbourhood Watch State President, Jan Dunsby, says that Easter presents a great opportunity for thieves. “ Whilst most people lock their homes when they go away, they often leave garden sheds unlocked and items lying around the back yard or garden. These are easy pickings for thieves. We regularly hear about valuable items, such as chain saws, lawn mowers and garden trimmers being stolen from garden sheds .”
